UK Parliamentary Committee: Scotland Independence Bad for Climate Change Objectives

According to edieEnergy, a majority of the UK Parliament’s Energy and Climate Change Committee has determined that Scottish independence, were it to eventually occur (a growing possibility), would have a “‘detrimental'” effect on the UK’s energy budgets, climate change objectives and energy security.” The Committee reconvened today to discuss the matter further.

What does Mel Gibson have to say about this? Actually, scratch that question. We don’t want to know.
