Center for Climate and Security Advisory Board member, Brigadier General Gerald Galloway, United States Army (Retired), recently sat down with Yale Climate Connections to discuss how climate change-related impacts could disrupt shipping flows along the Mississippi River. The Mississippi is a vital trade route for the United States. As Gen. Galloway notes:

 “It is very clear that if we want to use the Mississippi as a measure of transport in a national transportation system that rivals those in the rest of the world, it is important that we take care of it.”
