A new report, Water, U.S. Foreign Policy and American Leadership, authored by Dr. Marcus D. King with the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University, highlights the importance of water to U.S. international relations. It is a very timely and important topic that we hope will receive the attention it deserves.

This report, Water, U.S. Foreign Policy and American Leadership, highlights opportunities that respond to the need for urgent action to address global water challenges or face adverse consequences within the next ten years. We hope that this report’s recommendations will focus the reader on the central role of water in U.S. foreign policy, but most importantly, catalyze specific actions bringing tangible benefits to those in the U.S. and abroad. A release event featuring John Oldfield, CEO of Water Advocates and Swathi Veeravalli of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was held on Oct 15.
