Yes, Climate Change is a Problem in South America Too

For one reason or another, South America seems to get short shrift in the public sphere when it comes to the challenges of climate change. As an antidote to this, here’s a new study by Catherine Hickey and Tony Weis which explores the risks of sea level rise on Guyana’s primarily low-lying, coastal infrastructure (and population), and examines “efforts of the Guyanese state to prioritize climate change adaptation.”
